Artist Dave Avanzino has created this whimsical Tiki Bar Sign for a place called, “The Shipwreck - Bottom of the Bay Bar.”  The sign appears to be created from pieces of broken sailing ships and we can see an enterprising cephalopod salvaging his own signature cocktail - “The Drunken Treasure.” 
 
Hand-painted original artwork is created for each of the elements in the sign. These paintings are scanned and reproduced as archival digital prints. Once they are mounted onto heavy paper they are hand-cut, the edges all painted to match, and assembled by the artist into the dimensional scene. Additional elements including the beads and the skull swizzle stick are added to the artwork. The completed artwork is set in a shadowbox frame that comes ready to hang. Each piece is completely handmade by the artist, numbered and signed.
